Similar help and support threads Thread Forum Hi All, I'm hoping someone here can help me resolve an issue I'm having with a Dell Precision 690 Workstation. Usually happens when update the chipset graphics driver but still using microsoft INF. It takes ACHI to SATA by default in vista as well not that most will ever need to know.Rumors resolved in Vista SP1.Īlso if ya get an igfx, igfxpers, or igfxper32 type error (not related to this but good to know) need to update INF, called INF Utility on intel site chipset specific. Like shipped with vista, and drivers were never made for XP and ya slipped streamed them in.

It's the chipset for some reason not being compatible with OS. Only downside is it also has the iastore.sys wich is NOT friendly with vista or downgrade xp so google iastore.sys with your model (mine is g60 235dx so just google the g60 iastor.sys to get broad idea) to see if your likely to get that issue.Theres no work around believe me, thats how i've learned all this crap. It's located in a file called Intel Matrix Storage controler.įind chipset in download area and download that.At end of install in dialog box can see thermal file in there and device manager is resolved. Has anyone else done a rebuild to XP and recieved the same device manager Other Device? Da Mobi in Msg 4 is correct. I logged a service call to Lenovo hardware and they do not have a clue either. Seach on web site does not show any additonal information.

Lenovo web site for Thinkstation support and drivers do not show anything for this device.

This is out the box unit no special card installed. I rebuild a ThinkStation 6483-29U with Windows XP SP2 and Device Manager shows a yellow question mark for Other Device - PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller.
